I am wondering if I can use my hunting bow if I enter any target competitions. I do not own a recurve or a target-style compound bow, just a camo-colored compound. I am not asking about 3D realistic hunting either, just regular targets.
check the website of the match

Hi, was wondering if i need to buy two bows for each type or i can use one, thanks
About the only difference between a target bow and hunting bow is the silencers. A hunting bow has a lot of silencers on it to make it as quiet as possible at the expense of accuracy and speed. Target bows are as bare as possible to maximize accuracy and speed. You’ll never see a target bow with a whisker biscuit for one, or string silencers. But as long as your target shooting is just for fun, then you can use any bow for it. On the other hand, you can also use target bow for hunting but you’ll have a harder time doing it. I do know someone who uses a target recurve bow for hunting, but it’s rather rare to see that. The bow is way too long, he need to put silencers on the bow before hunting then take them all off again when its time to compete.

i want to know how i can make an archery target backing with stuff that i can find around my house can any1 help thanks
Cardboard boxes. Yes, that’s right.
Get one large cardboard box (about 20 inches square) and stuff it tight with flattened-down carboard boxes. The arrows are shot at the box so they go through the flattened-down boxes, not between them (they lay this way: llllll like the pages in a book).
