EDIT: Well after a little research I found this website. It could help you out a little bit.

In order to set and adjust the draw weight on a compound bow, refer to the standard archery scale. Find out about the amount of poundage that is being pulled with help from a competitive bow hunter in this free video on setting the draw weight on compound bows.

so why do Christians wear crucifixes?
If King Harold was the head honcho of a religion, we would probably all be wearing bows and arrows.

Most farm supply stores carry small flags on wires that can be stuck into the ground at your desired yardage. You could also simply take spray paint and mark the ground!

I’m 12 years old and I want to get a archery set for my 13th birthday. It’s worth about $80 total, but I’m wondering, is archery fun and will it be worth the cost?
It really comes down to how much you enjoy it, if you’ve never tried archery before you might want to try it out before buying a bow. However, I spent around the same amount on my first bow and I shot leagues and tournaments for about four years with it and actually won quite a bit. The sport becomes a lot more fun when you are competing, mainly because when you keep score you can compete against yourself and try to beat your high scores. Of course hunting is also an option, if you gun hunt you will most likely LOVE bow hunting, it is a totally different experience and well worth the time. Any way I’m biased because I’ve been shooting for so long but it is a great hobby that you can really expand on and continue for a long time. I would say definitely give it a try. If you can, post the brand and model of the bow as well as anything in the kit and I might be able to tell you if it is a good deal or not.
